Let me make sure I understand...

Setting MaxBatchJobs in /var/spool/hylafax/etc/config succeeds in 
disabling the feature whereby multiple SMS messages are sent in one 
call... however putting "&supportsBatching: no" into the destination's 
info file in /var/spool/hylafax/info/ does not succeed in doing the same?

What version of HylaFAX are you using?
