[hylafax-users] faxaddmodem unable to determine the Class of Modem
Hi all, greetings !
I am a newbie.
My setup: Fedora Core 7
kernel : 2.6.23.17-88.fc7
Modem : Conexant HSF 56k HSFi
Modem Driver: hsfmodem-7.80.02.01full.tar.gz
Modem Port: /dev/ttySHSF0
[ FC-7# echo atdt09868149113 > /dev/ttySHSF0 : This command works fine. ]
All went fine with 'faxsetup' command
however, 'faxaddmodem' is unable to determine the CLASS of modem ( class1, class2, class2.0, class2.1), and ABORTING from the initialization script.
Last output from the fadaddmodem command was this:
The result of the AT+FCLASS=? command was:ATQ0V1E1
OKAT+FCLASS=?0
OKWe were unable to deduce what type of modem you have. This means that
it did not respond as a Class 1, Class 2, or Class 2.0 modem should. If you believe that your modem conforms to the Class 1, Class 2, or
Class 2.0 interface specification, then check that the modem isoperating properly and that you can communicate with the modem from the
host. If your modem is not one of the above types of modems, then thissoftware does not support it and you will need to write a driver that
supports it.
How can I define in 'fadaddmodem' command that I am using class 1 or class 2 modem ?
My lspci command says these things. (If it can give u the clue, let me know. )
