[hylafax-users] R: pdf poor quality images when i send.

Hello Lee,
i have the same problem, i have installed ghostscript 8.63 and hylafax+
5.2.8 but when i send fax color fax, cannot convert all color to
black&white.
Do you know any free program to convert pdf color to black&white? Or you can
solve the problem Hylafax?

In comparing those two images I can immediately tell that your complaint 
has to do with the default dithering that is being done by Ghostscript.

If you install HylaFAX+ 5.2.7 and in /var/spool/hylafax/etc/FaxModify 
you put:

DITHERING=libtiff-fs

... you'll probably be much happier.  :-)

I could provide you with more stunning examples, but try it and you'll
