IAX2 does not have a T.38 option for its media. If you're not talking
about T.38 then you're talking VoIP and not FoIP. And unless you're
talking about a very controlled VoIP audio path (i.e. iaxmodem talking
to Asterisk over loopback) then you're likely not going to enjoy either
SIP or IAX2 for faxing over VoIP.
(Of course using G711a/u)
Does not matter.
This question is not about function or bandwidth, merely usability for FoIP.
