This would depend entirely upon Eicon's interpretations of T.30/T.32 and 
their own intended interaction between S-registers and fax behavior.

While it would be *my* opinion that ATS7 should affect all modes (data, 
voice, and fax) it's entirely possible that Eicon is adhering to ITU 
T.30 T1 timeout values instead of the S7 register.

Again, this is something that you'll need to bring up with them (Eicon).
