Re: [hylafax-users] faxcron - setting nonstandart spooling area

Hello,

i can't use ./configure --with-DIR_SPOOL=/path/to/your/spool/dir

because i'm going to run 2 hylafax servers on 1 physical machine.

If so I would have to create 2 hylafax packages - one in standart path
and second in ./configure --with-DIR_SPOOL=/path/to/your/spool/dir
but this would make all binaries in /usr/sbin and /usr/bin twice - that is not possible

Ou, it is if i wanted to have all those binarie multiple times in filesystem;-(

Now i'm using hylafax+ 5.2.7-1 srpm,
i added a subpackage - let's call it 2ndfax - for this package i copy everything from /var/spool/hylafax to /home/2ndfax
and have the hylafax-2ndfax package "%files" section only with the stuff in "/home/2ndfax"
Of cource a have to create another initscript and another cron scripts
faxqclean is fine with -q parameter, but faxcron lacks such feature.

I guess, i'll do my own howskeepeng script for 2ndfax, but i was just curious, why nearly every binary of hylafax is capable
to accept SPOOL as cmdline option, but faxcron not ?

Nevermind then.

Thanks for suggestion and for great work on Hylafax.

Best regards

Hello everybody

i need to establish hylafax server in different spooling area, then default.

in fact i'll have two servers in two spooling directories - so copmiling with
SPOOL set somewhere is no good way;-)

Setting server in different spooling area should not be much of a problem,
since (almost) every hylafax program accept
parameter to set spooling area.
However, i've found no way how to force "faxcron" to use different spooling
area.

Does anyone have an idea, how to implement such task?

I'm confused. Why does:

./configure --with-DIR_SPOOL=/path/to/your/spool/dir

... not work for you?

Thanks,

Lee.
