Can I use Hylafax with my 3G cell modem? I have it set up to dial into the internet on my Linux Mint 5.0 box and that works just fine. The device has it's own phone number, and it seemed to get set-up correctly for faxing, but when I try to send a fax I get the ambiguous "invalid dialing command" error. Is that because it's not over a real phone line, but a digital cell line instead? I would think that this should be able to be done. here's the log: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: SESSION BEGIN 000000010 19107992780 Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.4.3 Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: SEND FAX: JOB 8 DEST 7992780 COMMID 000000010 DEVICE '/dev/ttyACM0' FROM 'Cabinet Tree <cabinettree@cabinettree-desktop>' USER cabinettree Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [9:AT+FLO=1\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [9:AT+FPP=0\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [9:AT+FBO=0\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [10:AT+FCT=30\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [15:AT+FNR=1,1,1,1\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [7:AT+FAP\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [9:AT+FIE=0\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: <-- [23:AT+FCC=1,5,2,2,3,1,0,0\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.16: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:16.17: [ 7542]: DIAL 7992780 Aug 04 18:32:16.17: [ 7542]: <-- [12:ATDT7992780\r] Aug 04 18:32:16.17: [ 7542]: --> [5:ERROR] Aug 04 18:32:16.17: [ 7542]: SEND FAILED: JOB 8 DEST 7992780 ERR [5] Invalid dialing command Aug 04 18:32:17.17: [ 7542]: <-- [5:ATH0\r] Aug 04 18:32:17.17: [ 7542]: --> [2:OK] Aug 04 18:32:17.17: [ 7542]: SESSION END ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.
