If I was running a whole lot of modems (Does anyone run 128 in real life and what the hell are they doing?) I may reconsider my position.

128 is not necessarily a far-fetched. A 4-port T1 card supports up to 96 channels. Stick two 4-port T1 cards in a system and you end up with 192 channels.

I work regularly with a system that has 96 iaxmodems running on it in production use.

What are they doing? Um, fax.

Thanks,

Lee.
