Putting &W in an automatically-called and repeating command (will be done on every call) will likely wear out the chip on the modem. Do AT&W once and then stop doing it.

What kind of sending modem is this? It seems to be broken.


You seem to indicate that this behavior only occurs when sending with &D0. Does this not happen when not sending with &D0?
