[hylafax-users] Monitoring modem line status
Hello,
we have HylaFAX
version 4.3.2 on Linux O.S., installed and configured
correctly;
we send faxes from
our Java applications using gnu-hylafax-0.0.9.2.jar client library, and with all
(hylafax server, modem, line connected) up and running the faxes are
transmitted without problems;
in case
the modem line connection cable is not connected, when we try to
send fax, it fails with status "No carrier detected"; our
problem is to avoid to send the fax in this case (line connection cable not
connected) but to do this we need to have a way to get the related status (from
client library if possible);
using the
faxstat command we have
# faxstat
HylaFAX scheduler on localhost.localdomain:
Running
ttyS0 (+39.02.24362037): Running and idle
(*)
which doesn't report
the real modem status.
To summarize: is
there a way to have the current modem line status ?
Thanks and Best
Regards
