I have to restate my initial response in this thread...

In order to accurately answer your questions and resolve the problem I 
need you to first "upgrade" to HylaFAX+ 5.2.1 
(http://hylafax.sourceforge.net) and then I need you to follow the same 
diagnostic steps that I outline here:

So step one would be HylaFAX+ 5.2.1.  Step two would be to follow the 
diagnostics on that mail archive.

Understand that it's relatively difficult for me to accurately diagnose 
problems on a HylaFAX version that I have never used and which may or 
may not contain fixes that are in HylaFAX+.
