Re: [hylafax-users] broken hlya.conf: hylafax-5.2.1-1
Robert, i misunderstood your post. i mistook hyla.conf for hfaxd.conf.
very sorry.
my hyla.conf ( from hylafax+ 5.2.1 - source not rpm ) is at
/usr/local/lib/fax/hyla.conf and it contains those same font lines that
u mentioned. everything is working on my setup except that i cant get
some pdf files.... other than that everything is ok....
i suggest u try to send fax -> check log
receive fax -> check log
and then come back to the list if u still have issues...
bye,
raz

I installed the FC6 version of: hylafax-5.2.1-1.i386.rpm on a Centos
5 system.
I ran faxsetup, answering yes or just pressing enter for each
question except supplying my area code and no to running faxmodem.
Now my /etc/hylafax/hyla.conf is basically empty and has a few very
long font lines.
that's odd.
Thinking back to running faxsetup, I recall that a number of prompts
were: [] and I did not supply anything. Could that be my error?
when u dont type anything, it means the default values will be used.
So I go and run faxsetup again, and all it does is confirm my config,
does not let me redo the config.
delete the config n try again?
Did that. It just acted as if it were confirming the conf. Did not ask
any questions, and just built this file:
# FontMap/FontPath added by faxsetup (Fri Jan 11 12:18:03 EST 2008)
FontMap:

ese:/etc/ghostscript
FontPath:

efault/amspsfnt/pfb:/usr/share/fonts/default/cmpsfont/pfb:/usr/share/fonts/japan
ese:/etc/ghostscript
Note that those lines are wrapped. There are really only 3 ines in the
file.
Help?
Should I just copy a hyla.conf from a hylafax 4.4.2 (Centos 4 Trixbox
2.2.10) system? I notice its hyla.conf does not have any of these
font lines....
worth a try. do the above first though....
And what to do with the font lines....
