HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
Hi, I would just like to add that in my experience 'software' modems are unsuitable when a reliable fax solution is required. I believe other people have said the same thing recently. I didn't have to reconfigure hylafax for it, I used the same config file as before for the PCI softmodem (basically configured as a generic Class1 modem, as in /var/spool/hylafax/config/class1). Could you share some info on the smart link usb modem. Link to a website that sells it? How did u setup hylafax ? what was the ttyS? or What drivers you are using? Most of the usb modems were wind modems so is this one a regular modem or are u using windows drivers?
