What does it normally (i.e. via e-mail) say that it's from?  A name, 
"John Doe", or an e-mail address, "john@xxxxxxx", or a phone number 
"5556667777"?

If there is anyone at Sprint or Verizon with whom you could discuss this 
it would be most useful to know what it is that sendpage is doing wrong 
to not deliver a proper "from".
