Re: [hylafax-users] Wedged Iaxmodems

I've a following problem: at least once a day one of my Iaxmodems
wedges. Does anyone knows how to pin down, which transmission causes
it? I've tracked down the last transmission from the wedged modem and
it seemed ok, but I have a few logs without any device signature...
Maybe there is a way to get to the session I'd in a /bin/wedged script?
Make sure that you're using the latest iaxmodem (0.3.2).
I would advise that you use the "record" feature discussed in the
iaxmodem README (the website HOWTO) and then in the wedged script (or
the "resetmodem" script) to glean the raw files recorded by the iaxmodem
(wedged knows the device name) and the last session log associated with
that iaxmodem.
Then you'll want to take a look at the recordings and the session log to
see, maybe, where things went wrong. But as far as a "stuck" or
"wedged" iaxmodem... that inevitably will come down to a bug in
iaxmodem, and that's something that I'll have to fix myself, most
likely. So you'll want to get those recordings and the session log to
me so that I can reproduce it and analyze it here.
Thanks,
Lee.
