Dear Sirs, we hope for you help. We have Omni 288s and we try to use it in Class2.0, but we did not receive faxes from few partners. I found in the mail archive that it would be a good idea to use it in class 1. I try to configure it based on 1496 configuration file and it work, but there is still few problems - for example, we did not receive faxes from Cannon fax mashine (configured in Class 2 it received just few lines and then completly black page). There is how log and configuration files looks: ;================================================================= Jun 14 15:56:31.69: [ 3708]: SESSION BEGIN 000000300 37052150817 Jun 14 15:56:31.69: [ 3708]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.3.0 Jun 14 15:56:31.69: [ 3708]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Jun 14 15:56:39.44: [ 3708]: --> [7:CONNECT] Jun 14 15:56:39.44: [ 3708]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyS1' Jun 14 15:56:39.44: [ 3708]: RECV FAX: begin Jun 14 15:56:39.44: [ 3708]: <-- data [32] Jun 14 15:56:39.44: [ 3708]: <-- data [2] Jun 14 15:56:41.36: [ 3708]: --> [7:CONNECT] Jun 14 15:56:41.36: [ 3708]: <-- data [23] Jun 14 15:56:41.36: [ 3708]: <-- data [2] Jun 14 15:56:42.06: [ 3708]: --> [7:CONNECT] Jun 14 15:56:42.06: [ 3708]: <-- data [13] Jun 14 15:56:42.06: [ 3708]: <-- data [2] Jun 14 15:56:42.55: [ 3708]: --> [2:OK] Jun 14 15:56:42.55: [ 3708]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Jun 14 15:56:48.57: [ 3708]: --> [5:ERROR] Jun 14 15:56:48.57: [ 3708]: MODEM Command error Jun 14 15:56:48.57: [ 3708]: RECV FAX: RSPREC error/got EOT Jun 14 15:56:48.57: [ 3708]: RECV FAX: end Jun 14 15:56:48.57: [ 3708]: SESSION END ;================================================================= there is modem configuration (modem firmware updated to the last available): ;================================================================= # Generic Class 1 modem configuration. # CountryCode: 370 AreaCode: 5 FAXNumber: +xxxxxxxxxxx LongDistancePrefix: 0 InternationalPrefix: 000 DialStringRules: etc/dialrules ServerTracing: 1 SessionTracing: 11 RecvFileMode: 0600 LogFileMode: 0600 DeviceMode: 0600 RingsBeforeAnswer: 1 SpeakerVolume: off GettyArgs: "-h %l dx_%s" LocalIdentifier: "XXXXXXXXXXX Ltd" TagLineFont: etc/lutRS18.pcf TagLineFormat: "From %%l|%c|Page %%P of %%T" MaxRecvPages: 50 # # # CONFIG: CLASS1.0: ZyXEL*O288S*-* # # BEGIN-SERVER # END-SERVER # Modem-related stuff: should reflect modem command interface # and hardware connection/cabling (e.g. flow control). # ModemType: Class1 # use class 1 interface ModemRate: 19200 ModemFlowControl: rtscts # default # ModemNoFlowCmd: AT&H0 # disable flow control ModemHardFlowCmd: AT&H3 # hardware flow control ModemSoftFlowCmd: AT&H4 # software flow control ModemSetupDTRCmd: AT&D2 # DTR off causes modem to hang up ModemSetupDCDCmd: AT&C1 # DCD tracks carrier ModemSetupAACmd: AT+FAA=0 # enable in current class # # Additional reset commands: # # &B1 DTE-DCE rate is fixed at DTE setting # &N0 Auto-negotiate highest possible DCE-DCE link rate # &S0 DSR always on # *F0 Deny remote configuration # S38.3=1 DCD on/off sequence follows UNIX standard # ModemResetCmds: AT&B1&N0&S0*F0S38.3=1 # # ModemDialCmd: ATDT%s # no '@' 'cuz then busy not recognized NoCarrierRetrys: 3 # retry 3 times on no carrier # ModemSetVolumeCmd: "ATM0 ATM1L1 ATM1L3 ATM1L5 ATM1L7" # ModemMfrQueryCmd: AT+FMFR?
