I 've been posting ridiculous questions at the list, but finally came with two different scenarios, that work so far,
there's two ways to make DID, (direct inward dialing) work, did is what the caller dials to call you,
you can pick your architecture depending on the hardware you have, e.g. analog channel to modem/fax or virtual extension to iax modem
I am running #2, faxing is "satellite" to the main PBX I get no errors on a sangoma dual t1 and a rhino channel bank,
This is my first post, hello to all
I'm running a fax server with hylafax 4.2.1 (debian sarge) and two USR
external modems on a single isdn line.
Actually all faxes received on the primary number are routed by email to a
specific mailbox, and faxes received on the second MSN number are routed to
another specific mailbox.
The same isdn line has additional 5 MSN numbers that are actually unused.
I was wondering if it's possibile to use an internal fax board (like an
eicon diva server bri) to have this situation:
- to mantain the actual fax routing configuration
- to use the remaining 5 msn number to route faxes to other 5 specific
mailboxes.
Any suggestion how to do this will be welcome
Thanks in advance
P.S. Is this called "DID"?
