ok, now I have two exact same hylafax+ (latest) machines. When I try to send a fax with 196 (fine mode resolution set by the client) from one to the other machine I find the following in the logs:
sending machine: ---------------------------------- Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE best rate 14400 bit/s Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE max A3 page width (303 mm) Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE max unlimited page length Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE best vres 3.85 line/mm Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE format support: MH Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE supports T.30 Annex A, 256-byte ECM Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: REMOTE best 0 ms/scanline Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: USE 14400 bit/s Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: USE error correction mode Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: SEND file "docq/doc.weinfask01.1178207534046256315;f1" Mai 03 17:55:43.65: [ 4702]: High resolution document is not supported by client, image resolution 7.71654 lines/mm {E414}
receiving machine: ----------------------------------- May 03 17:52:38.30: [ 6652]: --> [4:RING] May 03 17:52:52.00: [ 6652]: --> [8:+FHNG: 1] May 03 17:52:52.00: [ 6652]: REMOTE HANGUP: Ring detect without successful handshake (code 1) May 03 17:52:52.00: [ 6652]: ANSWER: Ring detected without successful handshake {E012} May 03 17:52:52.00: [ 6652]: SESSION END
1.) Both machines are exact the same and do have an Eicon Diva Server PRI card which after EICON support is even able to do super high resolution whatever fax. Still the sending machines tells me that the receiving one would not support fine mode fax ?? Since the hardware does support it, do I have to set this up somewhere in hylafax ?
2.) I've set maxtries to 3 and I get these logfiles 3 times in the exact same way. So Hylafax will not reformat the DOC for lower resolution ??
I can't reproduce the problem here. I can easily trigger the "High resolution document is not supported..." issue the first time, but on the retry faxq formats the image for low resolution.
What does the info file for the destination say?
