The faxmail -t option is extremely new.  It was just released in 5.1.2.  
You'd have only noticed this by reading 5.1.2's faxmail manpage or by 
reading the mailing list archives.

Are you using the stock notify script?  It should only send one 
notification per e-mail.  You can customize all of that stuff in the 
stock notify per documentation in 'man notify'... and if that degree of 
customization is not adequate, then I would suggest a custom 
notify_mail() script.  See:
