This was a localtime problem that was introduced by a new version of glibc and the hylafax chroot when a client logs in. It was fixed in recent releases of HylaFAX. You're using 4.2.1. Please upgrade.
B. Beside the 8 hours difference i see, i also notice that changes to
/usr/share/fax/hyla.conf that i made are not taken into account... for example;
i changed MaxDials to 20 ( but log shows 12 still), i changed Notify to When Done ( but log shows Notify set to none )
The client-server protocol settings in hyla.conf (such as MaxDials and Notify) are only used by clients that utilize hyla.conf - typically only sendfax and faxmail. And even then, those clients only utilize those settings when the user does not specify differently.
