Well, I am the only user on this setup, and as far as I know,
I haven't anywhere disabled the use of ECM.  The system is
a single-user desktop machine running Linux.

Actually the logs never show the use of ECM.  Somehow, I thought
that ECM was automatically used for transmission speeds greater
than 14400 and hence was not explicitly indicated.

Anyway, here is the complete log.  Because I just installed 4.3.1,
the documents have been reset to #1.  However, all previous logs
from all previous versions of HylaFax never have indicated the use
of ECM with this modem.  Also included are the config, config.ttyS1,
and sendfax.conf files.
