[hylafax-users] Problems with send-only fax server

Hi,

   First off, I'm new to the list, but I have searched the archives for 
questions like the one I am about to ask. So, if I missed it, I apologize.

I have a Mandriva based Hylafax server which is using an Equinox 8 port 
analog multi-modem board. The system seems to work fine, but from 
time-to-time, it appears that hylafax loses track of several, and 
finally all, of the modems. At this point, hylafax is unable to send 
again until I issue "faxmodem ttyQ1a1" . . . "faxmodem ttyQ1a8" as 
"root". In many cases, I have to restart the Hylafax server before even 
this will fix the issue. Can anyone point me to what I may be doing wrong?
