Re: [hylafax-users] Wedged modem

Ok, thanks. Having three modems on that linux box (/dev/ttyS0 | S1 | S2), is it right to add the following to inittab?

m0:2345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty ttyS0
m1:2345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty ttyS1
m2:2345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty ttyS2

Also, do I need to remove the init.d/ script?

How do I run faxgetty from inittab?

See 2.2.5 of the HOWTO:

http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/install.php#ss2.2

It always run as a daemon spawned from the init.d/hylafax script, that's the default behavior for the debian package.

... which is why it's not restarting after a modem is wedged.

Lee.
