On the sender-side it just looks like the receiver hung up at roughly this moment.

"AONNECT" ?

Indeed, the receiving modem has some internal error and causes the modem to go on-hook at this moment.

Diagnosis: something's wrong with the receiving modem firmware/hardware. Look for an upgrade, update, or replacement.

Hi Danilo,

The Agere OCM firmware has numerous problems and is rarely upgradeable
because the chip does not require external Flash or Ram (OCM is an acronym
for 'One Chip Modem').

I would suggest that you buy yourself a decent modem.
