Re: [hylafax-users] USR Modem question.

Should be 9 volt, tip positive, ring negative, ~500 ma. You can use a
generic Radio Shack style universal AC-DC adapter, I have used them before
and they work fine, it has a polarity switch on it but don't worry about
getting the polarity wrong, if it doesn't work just flip the switch, the
current is low enough that you won't let out any magic smoke.

Subject: [hylafax-users] USR Modem question.

Hi list.

I recently acquired an external US Robitics 56K modem,
sportster 00568602. The problem is that it did not
come with a power supply. Can someone please tell me
the correct voltage and dc adapter pin layout for this
model? I would really like to get this working so I
can play around with hylafax.

Thanks.
Bob.
