I was wondering if anyone else is running Asterisk PBX. This is a really awesome PBS program that is supposed to handle incoming faxes too. I haven't had much chance to look into it so I was hoping someone else may have a few tips on the configurations.

I suspect that a lot of us are using Asterisk. It's not something small enough, however, that "a few tips" will help. You'd do best to set it up, take the plunge and climb the steep learning curve as best you can and ask more specific questions along the way.

The one "tip" that I will give you, though, is to not waste any time trying to send faxes over VoIP channels running over the internet.

Furthermore, I do believe that Asterisk's "official" position on faxes is "unsupported"... although many of us unofficially support it ourselves.
