Hi there, I am trying to install HYlafax on a SuSE10 box. I installed 3COM USRobotics modem via serial to USB converter on /dev/modem which is a link to /dev/ttyUSB0 and can "talk" using minicom so no modem issues. The problem starts when the faxaddmodem script runs: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++= Do you want to run faxaddmodem to configure a modem [yes]? Serial port that modem is connected to []? /dev/modem /dev//dev/modem is not a terminal device. Serial port that modem is connected to [/dev/modem]? modem /dev/modem is not a terminal device. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I am kinda stuck here as my modem is not connected to a serial port. I thought about editing the faxaddmodem script so that it doesn't check the device but am not sure I want to go there. Has anybody else encountered this? Thanks Lawrence ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
