Set your ServerTracing in your modem config file, config.ttyIAX, to 
0xFFF, then start up 'faxgetty ttyIAX' and place a call to it.  Then 
take a look at the FaxGetty messages in your syslog (/var/log/messages 
?).  If that doesn't help then please send those FaxGetty messages in reply.
