Thanks for your replies, I have already ServerTracing 0xfff, but the messages log files don't show so many informations: when I start faxgetty: Apr 24 18:05:03 waterloovoip FaxGetty[3461]: OPEN /dev/ttyIAX HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.2.5 Apr 24 18:05:07 waterloovoip HylaFAX[3464]: HylaFAX INET connection from localhost [127.0.0.1] Apr 24 18:05:07 waterloovoip HylaFAX[3464]: USER root Apr 24 16:05:07 waterloovoip HylaFAX[3464]: FAX LOGIN FROM localhost [127.0.0.1], root Apr 24 16:05:07 waterloovoip HylaFAX[3464]: PORT 127.0.0.1;384 Apr 24 16:05:07 waterloovoip HylaFAX[3464]: LIST status ---------------------------------------------------- when I place a call to the modem, nothing happens, I can't see anything in messages... so i did 'faxanswer ttyIAX' and I got: Apr 24 18:07:51 waterloovoip FaxGetty[3461]: ANSWER any Apr 24 18:07:55 waterloovoip FaxGetty[3461]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyIAX' that are the only kind of FaxGetty-messages I get.
