If faxstat never says "Running and idle" for the modem, then it's not 
working just fine.

You'd need to change ServerTracing to 0xFFF in the modem config file and 
then restart faxgetty and then look at the system log to see if you can 
spot the problem. If not, then you'd need to send those FaxGetty logs here.
