[hylafax-users] Problem with Hylafax and Eicon Diva 4BRI-8M
Hi all,
i'm trying to setup the a Eicon Diva 4BRI-8M card on my slackware linux,
from the driver by Melware (not capi).
I've recompiled my 2.4 kernel and loaded the firmware (divactrl load -c
1 -f ETSI), as u can see from divactrl log it's all ok, now the leds are on.
Now i've installed hylafax from the cvs, i think that the correct
interface is ttyI*.... but when i run faxaddmodem it report me a modem class error, please see log again.
I looked into all hylafax ml post but i've not found the solution to my
problem. It seems that it can't recognize the modem class, i've tried
several config.ttyI0 but nothing of them resolved the problem, and i'm
not sure that a right conf can help me. Anyway, my conf is the same
reported in this post:
http://groups.google.it/group/fa.hylafax/browse_frm/thread/5474182538d4b5e5/be6888184686f118?q=4BRI+hylafax&rnum=4&hl=it#be6888184686f118
Can somebody help me? Greetings
Carlos
The problem in faxaddmodem (devices ttyI0)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Now we are going to probe the tty port to figure out the type
of modem that is attached. This takes a few seconds, so be patient.
Note that if you do not have the modem cabled to the port, or the
modem is turned off, this may hang (just go and cable up the modem
or turn it on, or whatever).
Probing for best speed to talk to modem: 38400 OK.
The result of the AT+FCLASS=? command was:
ATQ0V1E1
OK
AT+FCLASS=?
ERROR
We were unable to deduce what type of modem you have. This means that
it did not respond as a Class 1, Class 2, or Class 2.0 modem should.
If you believe that your modem conforms to the Class 1, Class 2, or
Class 2.0 interface specification, then check that the modem is
operating properly and that you can communicate with the modem from the
host. If your modem is not one of the above types of modems, then this
software does not support it and you will need to write a driver that
supports it.
