Oh of course, I wish I'd counted the intervals in the logs :( It does still 
seem a little strange that it takes 14 seconds from 'Fax file completely 
transfered to CAPI.' until the connection was dropped, but that just may be 
our fax machine...

I don't have any kcapi messages aside from the initial:

Oct 28 15:56:14 localhost kernel: kcapi: Controller 1: Diva Server 4BRI-8M 2.0 
PCI attached
Oct 28 15:56:14 localhost kernel: kcapi: card 1 "Diva Server 4BRI-8M 2.0 PCI" 
ready.

for each of the 4 controllers on that card.. I will investigate isdnlog, 
though - thanks for the suggestion.
