Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a good cheap 33.6K modem
that works well with Hylafax?
By 33.6K I assume you mean SuperG3 or V.34-fax.
It appears you're using analog lines, thus, you're options are limited
to using Class 2.1 with MultiTech MT5634ZBA-V92, MT5634ZPX-PCI-V92, or
ISI5634PCI (or others in the same MultiTech model lines) modems.
Someday when HylaFAX supports Class 1.0 (which is not the same thing as
Class 1) then you will probably have many more options.
If you're interested in assisting that development, see
http://bugs.hylafax.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=77 Now that HylaFAX
CVS supports ECM in Class 1, all of the necessary prerequisites are
in-place. It's now just down to a matter of coding it as mentioned in
the bug report.
