It does not take 100% of CPU time, when it happens. It just freezes. So 
I assume, it is not this.

The really bad thing about it is, that new faxes arriving will not be 
rejected and not be received either.

I think it is not enough to rely on the busy signal to tell incomming 
faxes, that they have to wait.

My initial thought was to have hylafax receiving faxes after one ring 
and thus saving paper. If that did not work, a spare paper fax should 
answer after 3 rings. But with this bug the fallback system gets no chance.
