I haven't heard any response from Thorsten, however. So, if you want to help fix the problem you can apply the patch attached to that archive message and then send logs for the next hang.

You may want to try setting ModemPageDoneTimeout to 60000.

If you modem supports Class 1 you could switch to Class 1 and avoid the problem altogether (since it has to do with the Class 2 dysfunction of the modem).
