Thanks for the help.  Turns out the dip switches were incorrectly
set.  D'Oh!  Outgoing faxes work fine now.

Now, if only I could find a Windows print-to-fax client/driver
to satisfy my slave-driver ... err, boss.  But I've got other
priorities, so that'll have to wait for another day
