Hmmm, the "proc" might indicate that you may be using a faxcover/hylafax version older than 4.1, where BreakIntoLines had different parameters. (see http://www.hylafax.org/4.1rc2.php ) My first suggestion was to do a "5 dict begin" before the BreakIntoLines command because the topmost dictionary on your dictstack is read-only.
