I fax Word documents using the WHFC client too. I set it up locally using the Apple Laserwriter drivers (to produce postscript output). There is more on that on the WHFC homepage's faq. The other problem I had was the first time I sent a Word document with images in it. It turns out that the post script processing on my linux machine (RedHat 7.1) was taking too long, and hylafax was timing out. I had to increase the timeout value- but I WAS getting an error message back via email in that case. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Philip Cruise" <cruisecomms@hotmail.com> To: <hylafax-users@hylafax.org> Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2002 3:14 AM Subject: [hylafax-users] Cannot fax word documents > Hylafax users, > I have setup Hylafax 4.1 on SuSE Linux 7.2 Professional. > I am using WHFC on client side to send faxes. > I can send both postscript files and pdf files but I cannot send word > documents. > Hylafax will accept the fax but in the log file it is saying 0:0 pages sent. > I am new to Linux and Hylafax and would appreciate any help. ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To unsub: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null
