[hylafax-users] Problem sending faxes
Hi All!
I am new to hylafax and this is my first posting to the list. I helped a
colleague set up a fax server using hylafax 4.1 on a plain vanilla server
running Redhat Linux 6.2 (2.2-14 kernel). I installed a US Robotics
Sportster fax modem on /dev/ttyS0 and installed and configured the
software. The server will receive faxes and print them on lp0 just fine.
However, when I try to send a fax from a client (windoze machine) nothing
works correctly. Here is a sample of what I am seeing in my messages file..
tail -f /var/log/messages :
...
FaxSend[1005]: MODEM input buffering disabled

FaxGetty[794]: MODEM <Timeout>
FaxGetty[794]: Modem set DTR OFF
FaxGetty[794]: Modem set DTR OFF

So far I have not found any help in the man files, readmes and faq's.
TIA for any help.
Regards,
Jim
