It seems that faxgetty is blocking an access to the /dev/modem. Maybe it has something to do with faxgetty. I came across information that there should be a /etc/mgetty+sendfax/mgetty.config, but according to other information mgetty and faxgetty don't jive well together (according to suse) since there is no mgetty.config, should I create that file? another question: I don't seem to be able to kill /usr/sbin/faxgetty process killproc -TERM /usr/sbin/faxgetty doesn't do the trick, so anytime I want to connect to the internet I got to reboot :-( Anyway, thanks a lol, Peter ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To unsub: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null
