Re: [hylafax-users] USR33.6
Dear Lee....
this long period of silence was spent in prayers and not only ;-)
but without results!
I finally understood (thanks to you and the list:-) the meaning of the
various messages of faxstat.
My system, now, after the first attempt to send a fax correctly reports:
"HylaFAX scheduler on faxserver: Running
Modem ttyS1 (+39.02.xxxxxxx): Waiting for modem to come ready "
Faxes are correctly sent to queue but they expires with the old message:
giu 21 17:59:49.55: [ 1159]: SESSION BEGIN 00000007 39258103485
giu 21 17:59:49.55: [ 1159]: SEND FAX: JOB 2 DEST 0258103485 COMMID 00000007
giu 21 17:59:49.55: [ 1159]: DELAY 2600 ms
giu 21 17:59:52.15: [ 1159]: <-- [4:ATZ\r]
giu 21 17:59:52.28: [ 1159]: --> [2:OK]
giu 21 17:59:52.28: [ 1159]: <-- [17:ATE0V1Q0X4S0=0H0\r]
giu 21 17:59:57.28: [ 1159]: MODEM <Timeout>
giu 21 17:59:57.28: [ 1159]: SEND FAILED: Can not setup modem
giu 21 17:59:57.28: [ 1159]: SESSION END
last mail you answered me this way:
"This could be caused by the ATH when the modem is already on hook. This
has been fixed in CVS, but I've never seen a USR modem respond this way.
You can test this by changing OnHookCmd to "AT". THIS IS ONLY FOR TESTING!
If it doesn't timeout at this point, then you know it's the ATH, and
you'll need to grab CVS."
Because of my unexperience I didn't understand a lot: I've added the string
ModemOnHookCmd in my config.ttyS1 but nothing changes, and in any case: what
do you mean for CVS?
Note that within MINICOM I've tested all the string found in any
configuration file, and this without any error.....
What can I do?
I've also reinstalled my linux box, upgrading from RH 6.0 to 7.1, I've tried
to use another piece of modem HW....
I'm quite desperate!
Any other suggestion????
Thanks in advance, and hope to quickly be able to answer and not only to
ask!
Alberto
