Thanks, I did actually track down libtiff and get it compiled, (I pulled the
SRPM for
libtiff 3.5.5 from the Red Hat web site and compiled that.  The compile problem
I'm
having is as follows:

Apart from all the nasty warnings, I can't actually see an error there, which is
why I gave up, it happens on ALL
of the executables.

More information, I am running gcc version 2.95.2, but you could probably guess
that from the include path.   ;-)
