Following up to myself, I've since been informed that a fax server run by a
previous engineer here (but using NT/MDaemon) suffered a similar problem.
Does anyone know if this is a modem problem or could it be a problem with
our phone system (an ancient and horrible British Telecom Pentara system)?
My apologies for filling up the list since this doesn't appear to be a
HylaFAX problem.
