If you use faxgetty, then edit inittab.
If you are using faxmodem, then just don't run faxmodem on that line.
The output of faxstat is not perfect if you're not using faxmodem. Just
delete the /var/spool/fax/status/dty_i1c file, and it won't show up
again in faxstat.
