[hylafax-users] Problem Sending FAX

Hi All,

I am using SuSE 7.0 and Hylafax 4.1 beta 2.

The default permission to /dev/ttyS1 is

crw-rw----   1 root     uucp       4,  64 Dec  11 10:16 /dev/ttyS1

and i have a symbolic link to /dev/modem

lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root           10 Dec  8 16:51 /dev/modem ->
/dev/ttyS1

With the above permission I am able to use minicom/kppp to dial into other
machine/internet.

But, after I start Hylafax (/etc/rc.d/init.d/hylafx start), the permission
of /dev/ttyS1 changes to

crw-------   1 uucp     uucp       4,  65 Dec 11 11:14 /dev/ttyS1

Now, I am UNABLE to dial into any other machine/internet. The error
message that I receive is

"Sorry, can't open modem."

And the /var/log/messages shows the following message.

Regards
