[hylafax-users] faxrm permission problem
I have been trying to delete a fax that was executed from
within netscape.
The owner of the fax is "nobody"
I can't login as "nobody";
bash-2.03$ su - nobody
Password:
Sorry
bash-2.03$
in the master.passwd file "nobody" has no password
I can't use faxrm because I'm not "nobody"
I can't use "faxrm -a" either as it asks for a admin password that I
don't have. I have been looking through the hylafax
mailing lists and found several people who have had the same
problem - but I could not find any answers that they might have
received.
I understand that I can become admin my setting up hosts.
Is that /etc/hosts or /var/spool/fax/etc/hosts ?
How do I set that up?
There was one reference to finding the man page for hosts
like "man 5F hosts" but I don't have that one.
Any one know the answer?
