Hi! I have HylaFAX v4.1beta2 on Linux-Mandrake 7.1 with the following details: * hylafax-4.1beta2-7rh6 * libtiff-3.5.5-2mdk * ghostscript-5.50-9mdk * ghostscript-fonts-5.50-5mdk * mawk-1.3.3-1mdk * libgr-devel-2.0.13-14mdk * Modem: US Robotics 56K Fax Internal I am a running a dial-up workstation to be used for both sending and receiving faxes. Because my only modem shares my only phone line here at home, I would want to receive the faxes manually. I set out to do this by using faxgetty, with the auto answer rings set to zero. I found that I have to disable faxgetty in order to use the same modem to connect to the Internet. If I don't disable faxgetty, my modem is interrupted as it starts to dial, and then my modem gives up, reporting "No Carrier". Do I really have to disable faxgetty or is there another way?
