Re: [hylafax-users] DID support (was: list)
You can get there from here, but hylafax doesn't support
it (yet) - here's your chance to get your name in lights
(or at least into the hylafax contrib list).
There are two primary parts to the problem:
1) Getting the dialed number from the DID trunk. This part
doesn't exist yet for your setup. In an analog DID, I think
the number is sent simply as after-dialed DTMF - if so,
it's a simple matter of getting the %T modem command to
parse it, and getting hylafax to recognize it. It
shouldn't be too tough, it's just that no one has
had the setup to test it.
2) Dispatching the fax based on the DID number - been there,
done that. It's not part of the main distribution, but
I have code for dispatching based on the dialed number
- I get the number via DNIS, with a modem bank that supports
a T-1 trunk. Search on 'DNIS' in the hylafax archives for
a few more details.
Requests for DID support show up on the list every few
months - it would be a useful addition. If you're
interested in working on it, let me know.
Thanks,
Alan Wagner-Krankel
