Different between Class2.0 and Class 1 ?

Hi
I want to know what is the different between Class 2.0 modem and class 1
modem interm of it's capabilities ? It's because I have to use class 1
instead of Class 2.0 modem because the USR 56k Faxmodem has bug in
firmware.
