Re: WHFC Losing User Info
After some additional testing it appears that WHFC isn't aware of the
correct user when I try to use the WHFC client printer as described
below. If I set the WHFC "user preferences" after the client pops up
the information is saved in the registry under the ".DEFAULT" user.
Using the ".DEFAULT" user settings will allow me to use the WHFC
client, with a couple limitations. One, all users of the machine must
use the same user preferences. Two, the phonebook and log files exist
on a network share, which must be set to allow "everyone in the world
to write". The second, of course, is a security risk I don't really
like.
Anyone know how to get WHFC to use the correct user name when sending
a fax ???
Thanks again,
Mike Wilhelm
